Sugar Skull

from $0.00

Sugar Skull is a colorful interpretation of the traditional Mexican calavera, drawing inspiration from the imagery and symbolism of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Rather than portraying death as something dark or frightening, the piece embraces the beauty, celebration, and remembrance associated with this rich cultural tradition.

Intricate black linework, decorative flowers, and vibrant touches of orange, red, blue, and green bring personality to the skull, while a deep purple background creates a dramatic contrast. The surrounding blossoms and flowing patterns soften the imagery, blending elegance with a slightly mysterious quality.

Sugar Skull reflects my fascination with combining familiar imagery, bold graphic elements, and unexpected color to create something that is both playful and thought-provoking. It's a celebration of life, memory, and the beauty found in the unexpected.
