Bourbon Man is a character study built around swagger, style, and a bit of old-school indulgence. Dressed in a blue pinstripe suit and oversized red cowboy hat, the figure raises a glass of bourbon in one hand and a cigar in the other, presenting himself with an almost theatrical confidence.
Inspired by Cubism, the face is divided into exaggerated planes of color and asymmetrical features, while the curled mustache, narrow goatee, and elongated hands add to his eccentric personality. Rich blues, fiery reds, warm golds, and unexpected touches of green give the portrait a bold, slightly surreal quality.
Bourbon Man doesn’t take himself too seriously. He’s part gentleman, part cowboy, part raconteur—a larger-than-life character who looks like he has a story to tell and plans on taking his time telling it. Original: 30 × 40 acrylic on canvas. (available)
Fine art reproduction of an original acrylic painting by Brian Williams (Willeigh).
